The Perfect Marketing
It’s November and there is only one thing on everyone’s mind: Black Friday. Every year all of the stores give the best prices and a run for their competitor’s money. Black Friday is like a game of opportunities and offers that you cannot pass by. We as Marketing major students see this day as the Perfect Marketing and I will tell you why.
Let’s talk about the prices offered in Black Friday. Every year the biggest offers in prices are found in electronics such as flat screens, iPhones, iPads, laptops, and many more. Best Buy started their Black Friday deals since last week with reductions of $100 in their laptops and electronics on brands like Apple and Windows. We normally do not see these kinds of reductions during the year but on Black Friday they are offering the best because of their sales. In an article written by Jenn Markey in which she looked at Adobe Digital Insights showing the sales between 2015 and 2016 on Black Friday. On 2015, Black Friday sales were a total of $2.72B of dollars compared to a $1.73B on Thanksgiving. That’s a difference of $0.99 million dollars. Let’s see how a year makes a difference on sales. On 2016, Thanksgiving sales were a total of $1.93B of dollars meanwhile the next day, “aka Black Friday”, were a total of $3.34B of dollars a difference of $0.62 million dollars. In other words, the sales increased which is good for retailers to keep on offering the best prices.
The products are the same ones that appear on every store and give the best quality to offer to their customers. The products will indeed excel on providing happiness to their customers and the retailers also. In other words, it’s a win-win situation because the customers get the best products and the retailers get their sales. The promotions for Black Friday are as big as the Super Bowl Sunday because it is a national day in which there is all the attention of viewers and customers. Retailers have to get their commercials ready with all their offers for Black Friday so that shoppers can go directly to them and purchase their gifts. The shoppers usually are ready a week before Thanksgiving and their first page are the electronic offers.
As for the places, the places are all over the United States of America and Puerto Rico. You can see all the people heading to the stores after their Thanksgiving dinner to buy the best products at amazing prices.
Black Friday is the perfect marketing because all of the four Ps are used and demonstrated perfectly during this day. Every year they break their sales records so let’s see how this year turns out. Enjoy your shopping!
